Welcome to Woodchurch Swimming Club
Woodchurch Swimming Club are currently holding training sessions at the Oval Leisure Centre, Leasowe Leisure Centre & Calday Swimming Pool.
Entirely run by volunteers, we are a friendly and inclusive Club, taking part in a number of local competition leagues and providing a gateway to higher levels of competition.
Our aim is to provide an enjoyable training environment for children of all abilities in which our swimmers will progress in both stroke technique and speed.
If you are interested in joining our Club please click here and see "New Admissions". We expect our new members to commit to training at least twice weekly.
Please Note: We are welcoming trials for new swimmers please see above details.

VOLUNTEERING
The club can only exist if parents offer to help on poolside. All staff are voluntary and new helpers are important to make sessions easier to manage. Please give it some thought and volunteer. You do not need any experience or knowledge how to teach, you will be guided through it all but regular attendance is important if possible.
ATTENDANCE
Good attendance for swimmers is very important being a member of a competitive swimming club, no training less progress.
If anyone has a place at a session and regularly does not turn up they will be asked to give up their place. Due to limited number of swimmers allowed at all sessions, we need to use the spaces wisely. It is appreciated that for health issues or injuries, swimmers may need time off whilst teenagers need time off to revise for exams and this cannot be helped.
If any sessions are continually badly attended decisions will be made to cancel them, hopefully this will not happen.
EMAILS
Parents need to check emails often for any changes, cancellations etc. Check junk mail as it can often go into that box.
If any parent changes their email address, home telephone number or mobile number please update me.
REMINDERS
Swimmers are not allowed to wear any bracelets, necklaces, and no ear rings of any kind. If a swimmer loses an earring or stud it cannot be recovered, time consuming and impossible to see clearly to the bottom of the small for such a small item. If swimmers cannot remove their pierced ear rings then they must be covered at all times. Watches of any kind are not permitted including Fitbits.
